Melanotan II
We currently evaluating samples of Melanotan II(PT-141) from several manufacturers.
In the near future we may supply a generic form of PT141 (Melanotan II). Pricing is expected to be in the Range of $100 per 10mg.
PT-141 is an investigational Drug. It is currently being trialed in intramuscular formulation (injection) and Intranasal application,
PT-141 (Melanotan II) is a promising alternative to PDE-5 inhibitors and may also effectively compliment a PDE-5 inhibitor.
Palatin Technologies has announced the presentation of positive safety and efficacy data from its Phase IIb study of PT-141 for male sexual dysfunction. Men with erectile dysfunction (ED) who took the intranasally administered investigational drug PT-141 reported consistently improved erectile function across all dosing levels. The placebo-controlled, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group study at 21 sites enrolled 271 sildenafil-responsive men with mild-to-moderate and severe ED. The trial included patients with comorbidities, such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and smoking.
In a preliminary study, it led to penile erection sufficient for sexual intercourse in the absence of sexual stimulation in the majority of men as measured by Rigiscan® and an increased sexual desire that was evaluated with clinical questionnaires. Nausea and yawning were the most common reported side-effects[21]. In the future, modification of drug delivery may enhance acceptability for clinical use.
